Noah and the Flood

The Flood of the Bible is considered a great story or myth, but it is not. It is an historical event that took place as it is written about. We can show proof by the earth's surface in what we call fossils.

There are billions of fossils found on the earth's surface. Today we know there are fossils that have been found, seen, and documented and there will be many more to come. These fossils are historic markers of the very life that was in existence during the time Noah lived on the earth. But that is not proof in itself. How do we know there was actually a flood that the bible tells? Most of the fossils have been found buried deep in the sedimentation. They were found to be etched into rock by bits and pieces of rocks or other materials that have traveled by way of water or liquid pushing the materials to these new places. These pieces of rock were redeposited in the place they exist now. What is so amazing is that there is no place on earth where these particular fossils can not be found. What has moved these same animals, or vertebrates to different places on the earth? And how can a plant or tree living in Noah's environment be found buried deep within a rock or a fish fossil be found on a mountain top? How can these things be explained?

Sedimentary rock makes up most of the earth's surface. The remaining surface is volcanic igneous and metamorphic rock. The trees that were buried in different angles in the stone, and the oysters on a mountain top tell scientists this is the result of a marine cataclysm. And it is not just in one place or one country. It is found all over the world.

Many of the fossils are fish, marine invertebrates, algae, plants and shellfish. Insects, land vertebrates and dinosaur bones also are found as fossils. If a person goes on a hike or even walks around his back yard he may very likely find a fossil or a sign of a time when a Great Flood or the Flood of the Bible existed on earth.

Scientist's and laymen alike have all witnessed signs of the Flood of the Bible. Through the study of fossils we learn more and more of the universal truth's of the earth.
